After receiving Iranian response, Pakistan’s Prime Minister affirms continuing efforts for peace

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that they have received the latest response from the Islamic Republic of Iran, affirming that Islamabad is committed to continuing its sincere efforts to achieve sustainable peace.

According to the Iranian Mehr News Agency, Sharif clarified in a statement on Sunday that Islamabad is acting sincerely in its efforts to help establish peace.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan referred to the first round of negotiations in Islamabad and the role Pakistan played in reaching the temporary ceasefire currently in place between Iran and America, saying, “We are striving with passion and firm determination to establish peace in our neighborhood and contribute to achieving sustainable security in the region and the world.”

He added that the army chief, General Asim Munir, confirmed today that “we have received the latest response from Iran,” stressing that Pakistan will continue its sincere efforts to help establish peace.
