Israeli warplanes destroyed a large part of the historic Saraya district in Nabatieh, southern Lebanon, on Tuesday, targeting commercial shops, an old mosque, and heritage houses, according to Lebanon’s National News Agency.

The Israeli army also renewed evacuation threats to residents of 12 towns in southern Lebanon and the Bekaa, including Nabatieh al-Tahta, Habboush, and Tyre’s Burj al-Shamali.

The escalation comes amid ongoing Israeli attacks across Lebanon despite a ceasefire agreement, which continues to be violated daily.
