In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the Ministry of Electricity and Water explained that the US-Israeli-Saudi-Emirati aggression has caused severe damage to Yemen’s infrastructure and services, particularly the electricity and water sectors, due to the direct targeting of power generation plants, transmission and distribution networks, and desalination and water pumping stations, in addition to disrupting supply lines and restricting the entry of spare parts, fuel, and equipment necessary for assembly and maintenance.
The statement indicated that the criminal practices of the Saudi-American aggression coalition, including its blatant blockade and the imposition of a ban on airports and seaports, have directly impacted the daily lives and basic services provided to millions of Yemenis. This is in addition to the damage inflicted on subscribers, service institutions, and water and electricity facilities across various governorates.
The statement commended the Armed Forces’ declaration of a maritime blockade against the Saudi enemy, considering this step a legitimate right and a response to the Saudi blockade and ongoing aggression and their repercussions on the Yemeni people. It also described it as a defense of sovereignty and national interests, and a protection of vital resources and achievements.
The statement praised the stance of the Yemeni people in the capital and various governorates, demonstrated through events, sit-ins, and massive public marches in support of the revolutionary and political leadership and the Armed Forces in confronting the criminal Saudi enemy.
The Ministry of Electricity, Energy, and Water called on everyone to stand united alongside the revolutionary and political leadership and the Armed Forces to reclaim rights, lift the blockade, end the aggression, and restore sovereign resources, so that the Yemeni people may enjoy all their legitimate rights.
