Palestinian man killed, several injured during Israeli military raid in Nablus

A young Palestinian man was killed and four others were injured on Sunday after Israeli forces opened fire during an ongoing raid on the city of Nablus.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed the killing of Nayef Feras Samaro, 26, who sustained critical gunshot wounds to the head. Four others were injured by live ammunition, including one in the pelvis, another in the chest, and two children.

According to the Palestine Red Crescent Society, around 40 people also suffered from tear gas inhalation, with 10 cases requiring hospitalization.

Earlier today, Israeli forces stormed the city through the Deir Sharaf checkpoint and deployed along Asira Street, carrying out raids on several shops in the Al-Ein refugee camp and along Sufian Street in the city’s commercial center.

Medical sources said ambulance crews treated at least three live-fire injuries, including two children, while one young man was reported in serious condition after being shot in the head.

The raid was accompanied by the firing of tear gas and stun grenades amid heavy traffic and a busy presence of pedestrians and shoppers in the area.
