Protest rallies in Morocco denouncing Zionist Ben Gvir’s storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque

Thousands of Moroccans participated on Friday in protest rallies denouncing the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem by the so-called “Israeli National Security Minister,” the extremist Zionist Itamar Ben Gvir. The Moroccan Body for Supporting the Nation’s Causes (independent) organized rallies under the slogan “Friday of Al-Aqsa” in several Moroccan cities, including Casablanca, Kenitra, Inezgane, Oujda, Meknes, Fez, El Ksar el Kebir, and Tangier, according to Anadolu Agency.

Participants in the rallies raised Palestinian flags, pictures of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and banners reading: “Al-Aqsa is in danger,” “Al-Aqsa Flood will continue until victory and liberation,” and “Gaza is the symbol of pride.” They chanted slogans supporting the Palestinian people, including: “Long live Palestine, down with Zionism,” “Moroccan greetings to defiant Gaza,” “The people want the liberation of Palestine,” and “Al-Aqsa is a trust.”

They affirmed their rejection of the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque’s courtyards by the so-called “Israeli National Security Minister” and his raising of the Israeli flag inside it.

On Thursday, the extremist Zionist Ben Gvir stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque along with hundreds of settlers, coinciding with what they call “Jerusalem Unification Day,” which, according to the Hebrew calendar, marks the anniversary of the occupation of the eastern part of Jerusalem in 1967. Video documentation showed Ben Gvir raising the Israeli flag and dancing with a group of Zionist right-wingers with the Dome of the Rock behind them, chanting with settlers the song “The People of Israel Live” amid applause.
