Speaker of the Iranian Islamic Consultative Assembly, Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, said on Saturday that the world stands on the threshold of a new global order, noting that rapidly accelerating international developments are reshaping the global balance of power.
In a post on the platform X monitored by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), Qalibaf cited remarks by Chinese President Xi Jinping, who said that “the unprecedented transformation unseen in a century is accelerating across the world.”
Qalibaf stressed that “the resilience of the Iranian people over seventy days has contributed to accelerating this transformation.”
He emphasized that the future global order will favor the countries of the Global South.
On February 28, the United States and the Israeli entity launched a new offensive against Iran that lasted 40 days, resulting in the deaths of thousands of civilians and targeting schools, hospitals, mosques, and other infrastructure belonging to the Iranian people.
In response to the offensive, Iran launched Operation “True Promise 4” against the Israeli entity and U.S. bases in the region, and closed the strategic Strait of Hormuz to the vessels of the aggressors and their allies.
