UNICEF said on Tuesday that one Palestinian child is killed every week in the occupied West Bank, including East Al-Quds, since January 2025, with “Israel” responsible for most cases.
UNICEF spokesperson James Elder said 70 children have been killed and about 850 injured so far in 2025, noting that 93% of child fatalities were caused by “Israel,” mostly by live fire.
The agency warned that Palestinian children are “paying an unbearable price” amid escalating violence and called for urgent action to protect them and their basic rights under international law.
