The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) spoke about the ongoing attacks by the Israeli enemy army and Zionist settlers in the occupied West Bank, particularly their targeting of schools.

It said in a post on the X platform on Tuesday, monitored by the Yemeni News Agency Saba, that “99 education-related incidents have been recorded in 2026 alone, including the killing, injury, and arrest of students, the demolition of schools, the army’s use of school buildings, and the denial of access to them.”

UNICEF quoted Rua, a 12-year-old Palestinian girl from the West Bank, as saying, “Our school was destroyed, nothing remains of it.”

The organization commented, “Her dreams of completing sixth grade were shattered when settlers and Israeli forces turned her school – the place where she loved to learn and play with her friends – into rubble.”

According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, the enemy army and settlers carried out a total of 1,637 attacks during last April in the West Bank. The violations included the demolition of 78 structures, among them 37 inhabited homes, 34 agricultural structures, in addition to 5 facilities that are sources of livelihood for citizens.
