Hezbollah congratulated the Islamic Republic of Iran, its leadership and people, on the great achievement of reaching a memorandum of understanding with the United States of America, which led to a comprehensive ceasefire on all fronts, including Lebanon.
In a statement issued on Monday, Hezbollah maintained, “This great achievement came as a fruit of the legendary steadfastness, exceptional resilience, and immense sacrifices made by the dear Iranian people and their wise leadership, who clung to national choices that preserve their dignity, sovereignty, and independence.”
“On this great occasion, Hezbollah extends its greetings and appreciation to His Eminence the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei, may his shadow endure, who led this phase with unmatched wisdom, courage, and insight. And to the President and government of Iran, and to the valiant armed forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the Army, and the brotherly Iranian people, expressing profound gratitude for their steadfast positions alongside Lebanon, its people and its resistance, and their insistence that Lebanon be present in any understanding that leads to stopping the war and preserving its rights. They bore for that the burdens of siege and aggression, to reaffirm once again that the Islamic Republic is truly a blessed support and a strong, loyal ally.”
Hezbollah also extended greetings to all the countries that participated, contributed, assisted, and accompanied the efforts to remove obstacles in order to accomplish this agreement, affirming that Lebanon must make good use of this regional and international umbrella to achieve Lebanon’s sovereignty and liberate its land within the framework of internal unity.
“And we extend our greatest greetings to the people of honor, pride and dignity, to the loyal people of the resistance, and to our displaced families – greetings for their patience, endurance and steadfastness, and greetings for their sacrifices and all they offered in confronting this savage aggression. They have truly proven that they are a proud people and the most honorable of people, as described by the Master of the Martyrs of the Nation, His Eminence Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah.”
“Greetings also to the resistance leadership and its heroic, valiant fighters, the strong shield of the nation and its impregnable fence, who gave their pure blood and sacred lives for the glory of their homeland and the dignity of their people, and fought epic battles where the Israeli enemy saw some of their might and tasted the bitterness of defeat.”
“As we affirm that what has been achieved is a prelude to completing the path of full liberation of our land, the return of our prisoners to their homeland and families, and the return of all the people, especially the residents of the frontline villages on the front edge, to their villages and homes, and the reconstruction of what was destroyed by the aggression.”
Hezbollah called on “our steadfast people to be patient and to wait for the instructions of those concerned regarding safe return to their villages and towns, out of concern for their safety and to avoid any risks that may result from potential violations by the Israeli enemy.”
“The Israeli enemy must understand that there is no return to what existed before March 2nd, and that the resistance, which was and remains the vigilant eye protecting the homeland and its people, will not accept any aggression that violates the sovereignty of its nation and the blood of its people. The resistance will remain committed to Lebanon’s legitimate and firm right to defend its land, people and sovereignty until full withdrawal and the return of prisoners are achieved.”
Accordingly, Hezbollah affirmed that this phase requires the authority and all Lebanese political forces to return to national unity in order to achieve the goals that Lebanese agree upon, which lie in Lebanon’s interest and in preserving its sovereignty, strength and deterrence in confronting the ambitions of the Israeli enemy.
“It is wise to review all the calculations and paths taken by the authority, to benefit from this experience and from previous experiences our country Lebanon has gone through, to move away from illusions and losing bets, and to acknowledge that a unified Lebanese position and reliance on true friends is the best way to safeguard national interests.”
