Yemen’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has affirmed that the Axis of Jihad and Resistance will not allow a policy of unchecked Israeli violations in Lebanon to prevail, regardless of the challenges or developments on the ground.
In a statement issued in response to Israeli attacks targeting the Lebanese capital, Beirut, following a ceasefire agreement, the ministry said that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “could not commit such reckless actions without a green light from the US.”
The ministry described the latest Israeli strike on Beirut as further evidence that the Israeli enemy poses a serious threat to regional and international security and stability, accusing it of seeking to perpetuate instability across the region.
According to the statement, the attack came despite Zionist claims of a memorandum of understanding covering multiple fronts, including Lebanon.
It argued that the strike reflected an attempt to impose a policy similar to that pursued in Gaza after the ceasefire agreement there, describing it as part of a broader and deliberate pattern of conduct.
The ministry reiterated Yemen’s support for the Lebanese resistance in confronting Israeli aggression, stressing that recent Israeli military escalation extends beyond Lebanon to include Gaza, the occupied West Bank, and Syria, which it said demonstrates the nature of Israel’s regional policies.
The statement concluded by criticizing the international community for failing to adopt decisive measures, arguing that limiting responses to expressions of condemnation encourages the Israeli enemy to continue its military actions and escalation, particularly in Lebanon and the Gaza Strip.
