Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian affirmed that national unity and internal cohesion represent the greatest achievement the country has made in the current phase, considering that the level of coordination and understanding among various state institutions has reached an exceptional and unprecedented degree.
According to Mehr News Agency, Pezeshkian’s statements came during the cabinet meeting held on Sunday afternoon under his chairmanship.
Pezeshkian said that the current phase witnesses a special level of unity and cohesion among various forces and leaders, considering it an important achievement and a great victory.
He added that Iran’s enemies, foremost “Israel,” are seeking to influence the course of negotiations, but the awareness and cohesion of the Iranian people will prevent these attempts from succeeding.
In the context of his remarks on regional relations, Pezeshkian explained that regional countries are showing readiness for dialogue and cooperation under the current circumstances, affirming that the Islamic Republic has always sought to invest in these opportunities to enhance regional peace and stability.
The Iranian President stressed that Iran is not afraid to defend its legitimate rights, saying that any war ultimately ends with a ceasefire and peace, and that there is no justification for continuing conflict if national rights can be achieved through dialogue and diplomacy.
He added that strengthening trade and relations with neighboring countries, along with raising the level of internal resilience and national cohesion, must accompany efforts to address economic and service problems, calling on various institutions to develop their capacities and benefit from this phase.
Pezeshkian reaffirmed the importance of maintaining internal unity, pointing out that he has never put forward positions that contradict the Leader of the Revolution’s vision, based on his conviction that unity is a source of strength, calling for avoiding any rhetoric or positions that could lead to division within society.
He praised the steadfastness and sacrifices of the Air and Space Force, the Army, and security agencies during the recent war, considering that these sacrifices, along with the resilience of the Iranian people, have contributed to strengthening the Islamic Republic’s position and raising its regional standing.
During the meeting, the Governor of Tehran presented a report on ongoing preparations for organizing the funeral ceremony of the martyred Leader, noting the wide and expected participation of various segments of society, and emphasizing the importance of continuing the path of the martyrs and immortalizing their principles and goals.
