Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said the U.S. administration has never shown sincerity in dealing with the Iranian people.
In a post on “X” monitored by Saba, he said Iran entered diplomatic talks in good faith and signed a memorandum to end the imposed war, but remains cautious due to past experiences.
He added that contradictory U.S. statements will not ease Iranian doubts, but instead remind them of past broken promises.
Baghaei also urged the U.S. to respect the principle of “commitment for commitment” and fully honor mutual obligations without misinterpreting the agreement.
