New York Times reported that a US military chopper crashed near the Strait of Hormuz.
The newspaper, citing sources, said that a US military helicopter crashed on Monday near the Strait of Hormuz, and its crew was rescued unharmed, according to the Iranian news agency Tasnim.
The New York Times added that it was not yet clear whether the helicopter was shot down by Iranian air defenses or suffered a technical malfunction.
For his part, US President Donald Trump confirmed the crash of the military helicopter and said that the two pilots whose helicopter went down in the Strait of Hormuz were safe.
