Yemen defeated Lebanon in their final qualifying match to secure a place at the AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027.
Competing in Group B of the qualifiers, Yemen delivered an impressive performance and turned their dominance into goals in the second half.
Nasser Mohammedoh opened the scoring in the 61st minute, putting Yemen ahead and sparking celebrations among Yemeni supporters.
The Yemeni side continued to pressure Lebanon’s defense throughout the match before Mohammedoh struck again in the 87th minute to seal the victory, underlining Yemen’s dominance and confirming their qualification for the continental tournament.
The result marks another significant achievement for Yemeni football, with the national team securing qualification through determined performances and strong fighting spirit, raising hopes for a respectable campaign in Saudi Arabia.
