Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Yousef al-Madani, reiterated the Yemeni people’s, leadership’s, and armed forces’ unwavering commitment to the Palestinian cause and the plight of Gaza, affirming that it will remain Yemen’s fundamental and central issue, one that is not subject to compromise.
In a congratulatory message to Khalil al-Hayya, head of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), on his appointment as leader of the movement, the Chief of the General Staff stated, “What we are experiencing and resisting in Yemen—the siege and the attempts to suffocate our people—is nothing but the price we pay for our adherence to our faith-based, moral, and humanitarian stance alongside our brothers in Palestine.”
