In a statement, the government said Saudi Arabia is attempting to evade responsibility for a record of documented actions in Yemen, including previous official statements by its own officials at the start of the war and blockade. It said Saudi Arabia had expected a quick victory but instead faced failure and heavy losses, while becoming involved in numerous violations against Yemen.
The statement accused Saudi Arabia of serving US and Israeli interests in the region and of trying to avoid responsibility through continued denial rather than acknowledging its actions. It also criticized the Saudi statement’s description of Yemen’s support for Gaza as “conflicts with sinister objectives,” saying the campaign had gained support among many Arab, Muslim, and international communities.
The government said this, in its view, demonstrates Saudi Arabia’s abandonment of Arab and Islamic causes, including the Palestinian issue, in favor of US and Israeli interests.
It reiterated that Yemen’s leadership, government, armed forces, people, and tribes had decided to confront what it called their grievances, end the blockade, reclaim resources , rights, and support the “blockade for blockade” equation, expressing confidence in what it described as Allah’s victory.
