Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf congratulated Khalil al-Hayya on his election as head of the Hamas political bureau, expressing his confidence that al-Hayya, drawing on the political and jihadist legacy of the martyr Ismail Haniyeh and the unwavering will of the martyr Yahya Sinwar, will continue to raise the banner of resistance with greater pride and defiance in the face of the occupation.
Qalibaf sent a congratulatory message to Khalil al-Hayya on his election as head of the political bureau of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), emphasizing that “this choice represents bearing a responsibility born from fire and blood, and comes at a time when the pure land of Palestine is still moist with the blood of the great resistance leaders, the martyrs Ismail Haniyeh and Yahya Sinwar,” according to the Iranian News Agency (IRNA).
