The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force shot down a US MQ-1 drone over the Strait of Hormuz on Monday evening. Iran’s Mehr news agency reported that “brave defenders downed an MQ-1 drone in the Strait of Hormuz.” The report said the US drone was brought down “minutes ago by advanced air defense systems operated by the IRGC and integrated into the country’s air defense network.”
