Yemeni Armed Forces at full readiness for retaliation against Saudi Arabia, minister says

Yemen’s Minister of Defense, Major General Mohammed Nasser Al-Atifi, issued a stark warning to the Saudi enemy and its backers, declaring that the Yemeni Armed Forces have “open options” if Riyadh persists in its arrogance and criminality, and affirming that all military formations are at full readiness to execute any directives from the Leader of the revolution, Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi.

In a statement to the press, Al-Atifi emphasized that “our options are open, and we have high readiness across all branches and formations of the Armed Forces.”

He added that “the readiness level has been raised over recent days in implementation of leadership directives,” and that “the Ministry of Defense, the General Staff, and the Armed Forces are fully prepared to execute any directives regarding the equation of siege for siege, airports for airports, and ports for ports.”

The Minister warned the Saudi regime to “realize that the Yemeni people now possess forces and military capabilities capable of imposing equations.” He affirmed that “Yemen, which has remained steadfast over the past ten years—and whose steadfastness the world has witnessed—will remain steadfast and victorious in the coming period.”

Al-Atifi stressed that the leadership is fully aware of the suffering endured by the Yemeni people due to the continued aggression and siege, and that “such a situation will not continue.”

The Defense Minister praised the “epics being recorded by all Yemenis, foremost among them the tribes in their principled positions—supporting their principles and values, standing in the position of truth, rejecting all foreign interference in our country, and ready to stand alongside the Armed Forces in the battle of liberation and independence.”

He added that “all Yemenis are more united and cohesive today than ever before, standing alongside the leadership to reclaim rights and halt Saudi interference in our country.”

Al-Atifi concluded that “the Saudis have no goal in Yemen except to implement Zionist and American agendas.”

He stated that Yemen can achieve economic recovery if foreign interference ceases, and that “Saudi Arabia faces two choices: either to withdraw its hand from Yemen—which is what will happen due to the steadfastness of our great people—or to proceed toward comprehensive escalation, which will be met with an equal response from dear Yemen through its Armed Forces.”

He warned that “the loss will be for Saudi Arabia, which is working to destroy Yemen. This destruction will eventually reach it, sooner or later, until it ceases its interference in Yemen’s affairs.”
