Member of Ansarullah’s Political Bureau, Mohammed Al-Farah said perceptions of the US vary according to people’s level of awareness and faith, arguing that some view Washington as too powerful to imagine being defeated.
In a post published on his official social media platforms, Al-Farah said: “America is so great in their eyes that even if it announced its defeat and collapse, they would not believe it. As for us, we see it as nothing more than a straw, and we see its servants and allies as weaker than a straw.”
He attributed that outlook to the Yemeni people’s faith that Allah is greater than the US and any other power, adding that they believe ultimate outcomes are determined by Allah in favor of those who remain steadfast and defend just causes.
Al-Farah’s remarks come amid continued regional tensions and US military involvement and policies in the Red Sea and the wider Middle East.
