Yemen’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has warned that the Saudi regime is seeking to involve international parties in crimes against the Yemeni people, saying Sana’a is closely monitoring behind-the-scenes contacts and moves aimed at expanding foreign involvement in Yemen.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the ministry said it was closely following developments and cautioned any parties considering becoming involved in a quagmire into which Saudi Arabia is attempting to draw international actors.
The ministry said the conflict with the Saudi enemy is linked to lifting the blockade imposed on Yemen and enabling the Yemeni people to access their resources and wealth, arguing that the nature of the confrontation has become clear to various parties.
It warned that efforts to broaden foreign intervention or bring additional actors into the escalation would not alter Yemen’s position, adding that those joining Saudi-led moves would bear the consequences of participating in aggression against the Yemeni people and their rights.
The statement said Sana’a was aware of undisclosed contacts and movements related to Saudi efforts to involve international parties and was closely monitoring developments. It warned that bringing new actors into the confrontation would further complicate the situation and held the Saudi enemy responsible for any consequences resulting from such moves.
The ministry described the Saudi regime as being in a state of confusion and disorientation, warning that continuing its current approach would increase the cost of its decisions.
