Yemen’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said Saudi Arabia should focus on ending the siege and all hostile activities in Yemen instead of struggling to find solutions to the predicament it has created for itself.
In an official statement, the ministry stated that “this regime would be better off seeking alliances to save the oppressed Palestinian people and protect Al-Aqsa Mosque from the Zionist enemy.”
It added that “any Islamic coalition that does not make the Palestinian cause and confronting the Israeli enemy its most prominent banner serves the enemies of the nation and is doomed to failure.”
The statement noted that “buying loyalties and squandering the wealth of the Two Holy Sanctuaries will not grant the Saudi regime immunity for the crimes it has committed in Yemen.” It affirmed that “no regional or global coalition will be able to confiscate the legitimate rights of the Yemeni people.”
It emphasized that “there are no legitimate agreements that give any party the freedom to commit crimes and confiscate the rights of other countries.” It added that “the most the head of the Saudi regime will get from these events are souvenir photos.”
The statement affirmed that “Yemen has made its decision and resolved to move forward to reclaim its full legitimate rights—whatever the challenges and the level of developments.”
In concluding the statement, the ministry declared: “Anything less than legitimate rights is humiliation, disgrace, and degradation—and this is what Yemenis will not accept for themselves.”
The ministry’s statement comes amid escalating tensions following Yemen’s declaration of a naval blockade on Saudi Arabia and reports of Saudi efforts to form an international coalition to protect Saudi navigation in Red Sea.
