The First Minister of Wales, Ron Upworth, and his deputy, Sionid Williams, stated on Friday that the Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip amount to genocide, a position that goes beyond the official stance of the British government.
The officials’ statements came during the opening of the “Textile of Gaza Genocide” exhibition, part of the national festival (Eidsfod) in Wales, in the presence of Palestinian coordinator Faisal Saleh, according to the Palestine Online website.
