Foreign Ministry condemns Saudi use of Grand mosque pulpit for political messaging

Yemen’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said that the Saudi regime has for decades used sacred pulpits to target opponents within the Muslim Ummah, rather than to serve its vital causes or confront its adversaries.

In a statement, the ministry stated that turning the pulpit of the Grand Mosque in Mecca into a platform for spreading lies, accusations and false claims constitutes a grave insult to the Muslims’ Qibla and other Islamic holy sites.

The ministry urged the Muslim Ummah to recognize the danger posed by the Saudi regime’s actions toward Mecca and Islamic holy sites, stressing that it is exploiting their sanctity as a media platform serving its interests.

The statement also criticized scholars of wrongdoing who spread falsehoods, saying such figures seek to undermine the sanctity of places of worship and cannot be trusted with the Islamic holy sites.
