Local authorities in Hodeidah condemn Saudi-led mercenaries’ shelling of civilian home

The local authorities in Hodeidah province strongly condemned the shelling of a civilian home in the countryside of Al-Jarahi District, which killed a 60-year-old man and his daughter and seriously wounded his wife and another relative.

In a statement, the authorities said the direct targeting of Abdullah Mohammed Khlouf’s home demonstrated the Saudi-led mercenaries’ continued disregard for civilian lives and the protection of residential areas.
The shelling also killed livestock and damaged family property, describing a blatant violation of humanitarian laws and norms.
The local authorities held Saudi Arabia fully responsible for the attack and its consequences, saying it came amid ongoing military mobilization and escalation aimed at expanding attacks and threatening civilians and their property.
The statement also urged residents to maintain vigilance and unity in confronting ongoing aggression, while calling on Saudi-backed fighters to reconsider their positions and return to the national ranks.
On Saturday, an elderly man and his daughter were killed, while his wife and a relative were seriously injured after Saudi-backed forces shelled a civilian home in the countryside of Al-Jarahi District, Hodeidah Province.
