Yemen’s Defense Minister Maj. Gen. Mohammed Nasser Al-Atifi and Chief of General Staff Maj. Gen. Yusuf Hassan Al-Madani said that the Yemeni Armed Forces would continue efforts to liberate Yemen, secure the rights of its people, and uphold the legacy of previous generations who fought for a strong and independent country.
The remarks came in congratulatory messages to President Mahdi Al-Mashat and Yemeni forces on the 64th anniversary of the September 26 Revolution.
Al-Atifi and Al-Madani stressed that the anniversary coincides with the September 21 Revolution, which has moved the goals of the 1962 revolution from slogans into practical implementation. They also praised Yemeni forces for battlefield achievements against opposing forces.
The two officials stated that Saudi Arabia is seeking to rally international opposition to Yemen by promoting claims that Yemen is targeting holy sites. They said that Yemen considers itself a defender of Islamic sanctities and regional causes.
The officials said that Yemen’s ballistic missiles and drones remain ready to strike military bases and strategic interests, warning that any further escalation or continuation of the blockade would face unprecedented deterrence measures.
In their message to Yemeni troops, the defense leaders praised their sacrifices and said that the Armed Forces would remain committed to defending Yemen’s sovereignty. They reiterated that any new military escalation would be met with strikes against the adversaries’ military and economic capabilities.
