In a post on his Telegram channel on Sunday, monitored by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), Araqchi said that he explained to his Korean counterpart the current situation in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz, pointing out that the state of insecurity plaguing the region and its global repercussions are caused by the aggressive actions of the United States and the Zionist entity against Iran.
He stressed that the international community must hold them accountable for this violation of the law and the crimes committed.
For his part, the South Korean Foreign Minister affirmed his country’s position calling for ensuring the security and safety of maritime navigation in the region and the world, expressing his hope that diplomatic paths would lead to quick results.
The two sides affirmed during this call the importance of looking to the future to develop relations between the two countries, pointing to the history of good relations between them.
