A group of Azerbaijani believers held a rally outside of the UN Office in Tbilisi on Wednesday to protest the killing of innocent Muslims in military operations carried out by the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen, an APA correspondent reports from Tbilisi.
The protesters chanted various slogans during the rally.
Elchin Dashdanov, akhund of the Georgian-based Ahlulbayt Islamic Society, said that the protest was aimed at condemning the crimes against humanity in Yemen, as well as attracting UN’s attention to the killing of thousands of civilians, including women and children, and the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Yemen.
“Sixty percent of the Yemeni population is suffering from starvation and infectious diseases are widespread in the country,” Dashdanov said, urging to put an end to its criminal actions.
