Member of the Supreme Political Council Mohammed Ali al-Houthi on Tuesday condemns the United Nations’ disregard for the oil derivatives crisis caused by the prevention of oil ships from entering Hodeidah port by Saudi-led coalition.
In a tweet on his Twitter account, al-Houthi said wondering “Why is the United Nations ignoring the crisis, which is taking place due to preventing oil ships accesss to Hodeidah by the US-British–Saudi-Emirati aggression, despite obtaining permits and subject to UN inspection?”
Al-Houthi held the United Nations and its envoy and officials responsible for non-condemnation of these practices, demanding the UN to oblige the coalition to not intercept the oil vessels.
Since mid-August, the coalition has been holding six ships carrying 87,000 tons of gasoline and 42,000 tons of diesel, two ships carrying 7,443 tons of domestic gas, one ship carrying diesel fuel, and four ships carrying 69,673 tons of wheat, corn, rice and sugar.
