Sources in Abyan revealed the identity of a leader of Hadi’s forces who was assassinated at a checkpoint in Abyan, on Tuesday evening.
Tribal sources told “YNP” that the dead man is named Mohammed Hussein al-Labasi and leads Hadi’s forces in the front of Thee Naem in al-Bayda front.
Gunmen ambushed al-Labasicar near a checkpoint of the Security Belt forces in Farid, east of Mudia.
Al-Labasi was injured in the incident but died on the way to hospital.
The sources said that the incident is a message to Hadi’s forces, which last month tried to take control of Mudiya, the hometown of al-Maisari, the interior minister of Hadi’s government, and the transition with the help of the province’s tribes, was able to regain it.
