Tribal militants blew up a crude oil transport pipeline in the Shabwa Governorate, which is controlled by the coalition, in eastern Yemen.

Local sources in the governorate reported that the gunmen blew up an oil transport pipeline in the Al-Majaza area in the Habban District, south of the city of Ataq, the center of the governorate, in protest against the deterioration of services.

The sources explained that the bombing of the oil pipeline came in protest against the deteriorating service conditions without the local authorities loyal to the UAE fulfilling their development obligations.

This comes after the pipeline was targeted in the same district in mid-September, amid security chaos striking various districts in which factions loyal to the UAE and Saudi Arabia are spread, in addition to the presence of elements from Al-Qaeda loyal to Islah in a number of districts in the governorate.
