British newspaper “The Times” said on Saturday: “The failure of France and Italy to participate in the international coalition’s air strikes on Yemen “exposed the cracks in the international community.”
The British newspaper quoted a former British military official as saying that the American-British strikes against Yemen will not, in any case, completely weaken Yemeni capabilities.
He added, “The Houthis in Yemen have long known how to hide the most valuable military assets from Saudi Arabia, which has bombed Yemen with air strikes for years, which used aircraft and weapons purchased from the United Kingdom.”
The official expected that the Yemeni AnsarAllah movement may in fact intensify its targeting of ships at sea, stressing that it will not respond to the warnings of escalation that accompanied the American-British aggression against Yemen.
Yesterday, the British newspaper The Telegraph revealed that France, along with Italy and Spain, refused to participate in the strikes, and avoided signing a statement supporting them.
