Berlin: Protesters Against Gaza Genocide Face German Police Violence

Demonstrators in Berlin faced excessive police force on Saturday as they protested against the ongoing genocide carried out by Israel against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

According to Turkey’s Anadolu Agency, hundreds of protesters gathered in Neptune Square in Berlin to show solidarity with Palestine against the genocidal war Israel has been waging in Gaza since October 2023.

Protesters waved Palestinian flags and held signs with slogans such as “This is not war, this is genocide,” “Boycott Israel,” “Stop arming Israel,” “Gaza’s children want to live,” and “Israel is a child-killing terrorist.”

The protest coincided with stringent security measures taken by the police, who arrested several demonstrators before later using force against them. This excessive police action resulted in one female demonstrator being injured; she was taken to the hospital after receiving first aid at the scene.

It’s worth noting that Germany is among Israel’s most prominent political and military supporters in the genocidal crimes it is committing against the Gaza Strip.
