Million-man march in Capital reaffirms steadfast support for Gaza

Hundreds of thousands poured into the streets of the capital Sana’a on Friday in a million-man march under the slogan “Steadfast with Gaza – We Fear No Threats and Are Not Intimidated by Conspiracies.”

The demonstration underscored Yemenis’ unwavering commitment to supporting the Palestinian people, while condemning Arab complicity and international silence over the ongoing atrocities and aggression on Gaza.

The massive crowds waved Yemeni and Palestinian flags in a striking show of unity, declaring that Gaza is not alone and that Palestine remains Yemen’s central cause. Participants vowed that no amount of threats or conspiracies would deter their religious, moral, and humanitarian duty to stand by the people of Gaza until the siege is lifted and justice is restored.

Chants echoed across the capital condemning U.S. and Israeli crimes and denouncing Arab regimes accused of betraying the Palestinian cause through normalization and conspiracies to disarm resistance in Palestine and Lebanon. Protesters called for an authentic return to the Qur’an as the path to strength, dignity, and victory for the Muslim nation.

A statement delivered during the march emphasized that the rallies represent a form of jihad and a moral responsibility to support Gaza and defend al-Aqsa Mosque. It urged Muslims worldwide to resist Zionist deception and reaffirmed full confidence in God’s promise of victory for the oppressed and humiliation for the aggressors.

The statement strongly condemned certain Arab governments, including Saudi Arabia and Egypt, for enabling Israel through arms, financial deals, and political cover. Such actions, it warned, embolden Israel’s genocidal campaign in Gaza and advance the dangerous project of “Greater Israel,” which threatens not only Palestine but the wider region.

The march also expressed solidarity with Palestinian resistance fighters, praising their resilience and unprecedented operations against Israel. It hailed Yemen’s military actions in the Red Sea and beyond as part of the struggle, and called on peoples of the region and the free world to intensify all forms of support for Palestine and Lebanon to confront Zionist-American schemes.
