The head of Yemen’s national negotiating delegation, Mohammed Abdulsalam, met on Wednesday with the UN Special Envoy for Yemen, Hans Grundberg, to discuss the progress of the peace process in Yemen.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Abdulsalam said the meeting addressed the peace track agreed upon with the Saudi side under the patronage of the Sultanate of Oman, which is represented by the “UN-delivered roadmap.”
Abdulsalam explained that he discussed with the UN envoy the necessity of resuming work to implement the roadmap, especially the humanitarian entitlements, stressing Sana’a’s rejection of continued procrastination.
In another context, Abdulsalam confirmed that Sanaa drew the attention of the UN to the need not to detain any person working in organizations without justification.
However, he indicated that the delegation presented security information about the subversive role of the detained aid workers, accusing them of espionage activities under the guise of “humanitarian work.”
