Revolution Leader: Yemen’s Role In Supporting Gaza Has Been Exceptional & Significant

The Revolution Leader, Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, affirmed that Yemen’s role in supporting Gaza has been exceptional and significant, with broad popular momentum, the magnitude of its stance, and the comprehensiveness of its efforts across various fields, foremost among them the military field.

In a speech delivered today before participants in the 34th session of the Arab National Congress in Beirut, with the participation of more than 250 Arab and Islamic figures, he pointed out that the total number of military operations carried out in support of Gaza over two years reached 1,830 operations, including ballistic and cruise missiles, drones, and naval vessels.

He noted that 228 enemy-affiliated ships were targeted in naval operations, forcing the Israeli enemy to shut down the port of Umm al-Rashrash for two years, causing it major economic losses.

Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi stated that, in confronting the American aggression supporting the Israeli enemy, 22 American MQ-9 drones were downed, which played an important role in thwarting the U.S. military plan aimed at destroying Yemeni capabilities.

He explained that Yemeni naval forces confronted five U.S. aircraft carriers and their fleets, which were forced to withdraw from the area of operations, with the U.S. itself acknowledging the intensity of the naval confrontations and the effectiveness of Yemeni tactics. He added that Yemen was subjected to nearly three thousand American-Israeli airstrikes, leading to the martyrdom and injury of hundreds, including high-level leadership figures.

The Revolution Leader indicated that the convening of the conference at this critical moment represents an opportunity to develop broad responses at all levels to confront schemes targeting the Ummah. He pointed out that the Israeli enemy openly declares its aim of what it calls “changing the Middle East” and establishing a “Greater Israel.”

He noted that the enemies of the Ummah have openly expressed their aggressive goals, which seize rights , violate land, honor, and sacred sites. He warned against the complacency of some parties within the Ummah or their adoption of directives that seek to strip peoples of their means of strength, sovereignty, and dignity.

He stated that the Israeli enemy, in partnership with the United States, seeks to impose a formula of domination in which blame is always directed at the victim and the rightful party, while enabling the aggressor to achieve more of its objectives. He pointed to attempts to remove the weapons that protect Lebanon and the weapons that prevented Israel from controlling Gaza over the past two years.

He said: “Those who align with the Israeli enemy cooperate with it disregarding the catastrophic consequences for the Ummah—foremost among them the loss of freedom, independence, and dignity, and submission to a formula of subjugation in favor of the enemy and the destruction of the Ummah’s future.”

Sayyid Abdul-Malik described the crimes committed against the Palestinian people in Gaza as a genocide that has violated every human value, holding the Zionist enemy fully responsible. He highlighted the experiences of Gaza and Lebanon as examples of the ability of resistance and steadfastness to impose real deterrence equations.

He referenced Yemen’s broad popular mobilization activities, including weekly mass marches, student and university conferences, women’s and men’s activities, and maneuvers and training exercises, affirming that these movements formed a fundamental pillar reinforcing the national position in confronting siege and aggression.

He emphasized the continuation of the massive weekly million-strong marches, in addition to more than half a million other events, with the outcomes of mobilization activities reaching 1,113,000 trained participants.

Sayyid Abdul-Malik stressed that the steadfastness in Gaza and in the support fronts, along with global awakening, are among the most significant pressures forcing the Zionist enemy to declare a halt to aggression. He also emphasized the need to preserve elements of strength to confront attempts by the enemy to circumvent and undermine achievements.

He stated that the enemies are attempting to distort the supportive role of Iran to Arab causes by portraying what is happening as merely a conflict between Iran and Israel with no relation to Arabs. He affirmed that the support provided by some regional states is in service of resistance and Arab causes, not part of sectarian or regional conflicts that serve hegemonic projects.

The Revolution Leader called for continued strengthening of elements of power and safeguarding achievements, urging leaders, elites, and popular forces to continue working to confront attempts to undermine the results of steadfastness, affirming that unity of ranks and the mobilization of capabilities at all levels are the path to facing risks.
