President Al-Mashat Condoles Death of Sheikh Hassan Hammoud Ghathaya

His Excellency Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, President of the Supreme Political Council, sent a message of condolence and sympathy on the death of Shura Council member Sheikh Hassan Hammoud Mohammed Ghathaya, who passed away at the age of 70 after a life full of giving.

In the condolence message sent to the sons of the deceased, Sheikh Hafez and Sheikh Taha Hassan Ghathaya, and all family members, President Al-Mashat praised the virtues of the deceased, his honorable national stances, and his contributions in the social field and in reconciliation.

He noted Sheikh Ghathaya’s stances in confronting American and Saudi aggression and defending the homeland, and his significant role in the social sphere, indicating that the deceased was among the students of the pious scholar Mr. Badr Al-Din Al-Houthi and a companion on the path of the Martyr Leader Mr. Hussein Badr Al-Din Al-Houthi.

He affirmed that Yemen has lost, with the passing of the deceased, a national personality who left distinct marks in various stages the homeland has gone through.

President Al-Mashat expressed sincere condolences and profound sympathy to the sons of the deceased, the Al-Ghathaya family, the tribes of Maran, and the people of Saada Governorate in general.
