The US Department of Homeland Security is bracing for another funding shutdown today, Friday, after negotiations between Democrats and Republicans in Congress failed to resolve the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) issue following the killing of two Americans in Minneapolis by ICE officers.
Before the partial shutdown began at midnight Friday, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said, “We have been pushing for sensible reforms for weeks,” according to Agence France-Presse.
