Israeli warplanes launch intensive airstrikes across southern, eastern Lebanon

Israeli warplanes launched a series of airstrikes targeting multiple villages and towns in southern and eastern Lebanon, amid continued escalation along the border regions Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency reported.

According to the agency, the town of Saghmar in Western Bekaa was hit by two Israeli airstrikes.

A drone strike targeted the town of Jebchit in the Nabatieh district, with reports indicating a motorcycle was struck in an earlier raid on the same area.

A second airstrike was later carried out on Jebchit, following the earlier drone attack.

Two airstrikes targeting the town of Tyre resulted in injuries to paramedics from the Risala Scout Association’s Emergency Medical Services.

Rescue teams are still carrying out operations to clear the rubble, with efforts ongoing at the targeted sites.

Israeli warplanes carried out an airstrike on the town of Braachit in the Bint Jbeil district.

In a separate raid, hostile warplanes also targeted the town of Majdal Selm.

Meanwhile, heavy and continuous explosions have been reported in the town of Al-Khiam, where blasts are being heard around the clock across multiple neighborhoods. The explosions are linked to Israeli forces allegedly planting explosives in residential homes, buildings, and commercial properties before demolishing them under heavy fire cover.

Thick plumes of smoke have been rising continuously from several parts of the town, amid growing concern and fear among residents, especially as destruction expands further across homes and infrastructure.
