Gaza Health Ministry: Palestinian patients’ travel canceled as Israeli occupation refuses to issue permits

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Sunday, the cancellation of travel for dozens of patients seeking to leave the Strip for medical treatment due to their failure to obtain security approvals from the Israeli side.

In a statement, the ministry confirmed that the main reason for the delay in patients’ travel and their inability to access treatment is the limited number of permits granted for travel, in addition to the long waiting period for security clearances, which may extend for months.

The ministry noted that it had submitted around 70 urgent life-saving cases in recent weeks, but only five cases received the necessary security approvals to travel.

The Ministry of Health renewed its appeal to international bodies and UN organizations to urgently intervene to increase the number of patients allowed to travel, reduce waiting times, and speed up procedures for life-saving medical cases.
