Fars News Agency quoted the IRGC Public Relations Department as saying in a statement, “O noble and proud people of Iran, your brave sons in the IRGC Navy and Aerospace Force, during a joint missile and drone operation between 2:00 and 3:00 AM on Sunday, June 28, destroyed eight infrastructure sites belonging to the child-killing US military at Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait and the Fifth Fleet at Mina Salman Port in Bahrain, by launching ballistic missiles and drones. They responded decisively to the recent US aggression.”
The statement continued, “The treacherous enemy, whose nature is rooted in breaking promises and agreements, launched an attack on five coastal sites belonging to the Islamic Republic at dawn today, under the pretext of a naval confrontation between the Revolutionary Guard and a violating vessel.”
It added, “According to the Memorandum of Understanding signed in Islamabad, arrangements are in place with the Islamic Republic to regulate maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz. From now on, violating vessels will be dealt with more firmly than before, and the response to any potential aggression by the enemy, regardless of the pretext, even against small targets, as occurred last night and today, will be overwhelming.”
The statement concluded, “Let the enemy know that violating the ceasefire contravenes Article 1 of the Memorandum of Understanding signed in Islamabad and will lead to a complete halt of all maritime traffic.”
