Lebanese Resistance targets Israeli Merkava tank, military sites

The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon announced that it carried out a series of operations on Thursday and Friday targeting Israeli occupation’s military positions and forces in southern Lebanon and northern occupied Palestine.

In separate statements, the resistance said the operations were conducted in response to Israeli ceasefire violations and attacks on southern Lebanese villages that resulted in civilian casualties.

According to the statements, resistance fighters targeted an Israeli force stationed in a building near the historic Shaqif Castle with an attack drone on Friday, scoring direct hits. In a separate operation, a Merkava tank in the same area was also targeted with a drone strike.

The group further reported shelling a gathering of the occupation’s soldiers near Shaqif Castle with artillery fire, while two additional drone attacks targeted concentrations of Israeli vehicles and troops at Al-Awaida Hill on Thursday.

The resistance said its operations are part of its ongoing military response to Israeli aggression against Lebanese territory and civilians.
