A military source at the Ministry of Defense said that statements by the Saudi defense and foreign ministries are an attempt by Saudi Arabia to cover up the failure of its defense systems to detect and intercept Yemeni drones, which successfully hit their targets.
The source told the Yemeni News Agency (SABA) that Yemen had exercised restraint for years over Saudi violations during the de-escalation period, stressing that Saudi Arabia must respect Yemen’s sovereignty and independence and bear the consequences of any violations.
He added that Saudi Arabia must end the blockade on the Yemeni people by reopening airports and ports, facilitating trade movement, releasing prisoners, respecting Yemen’s sovereignty, and allowing it to benefit from its oil resources to pay salaries and provide basic services.
