Tunisian National Guard: Bodies of 11 Migrants Recovered Off Coast of Zarzis

The Tunisian National Guard announced on Sunday the recovery of the bodies of 11 migrants after their boat sank off the coast of Zarzis, a city in southeastern Tunisia. The search continues for three missing persons.

In a statement, the Tunisian National Guard said, “Search and rescue operations are continuing at sea following the disappearance of a group of 15 people, including 14 from Ben Guerdane and one from Zarzis. One person survived the voyage. The operations resulted in the recovery of three bodies yesterday and eight today, bringing the total to 11. The search continues for the three missing persons,” according to Sputnik.
