Yemen’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates urged the Saudi regime to make a wise and courageous decision to end its aggression, lift the blockade and halt all illegal activities in Yemen.
In a statement issued Wednesday, the ministry said Saudi Arabia’s recognition of regional developments could help it pursue peace and end its aggression, warning that miscalculating the changes in a way that serves its hostile projects in Yemen would bring greater damage and future losses.
The ministry said the continued blockade and seizure of Yemen’s resources continue to inflict hardship on the Yemeni people, stressing that the humanitarian commitments agreed upon should be implemented urgently as an inherent right that cannot be delayed or subjected to procrastination.
The statement comes amid renewed military tensions between Yemen and Saudi Arabia, with Yemeni forces escalating attacks on Saudi military positions, troop concentrations and supply routes in response to continued Saudi aggression and blockade.
Yemen has repeatedly linked any de-escalation to ending the blockade, stopping military activities and addressing humanitarian and economic issues, while warning that continued Saudi mobilization will carry further consequences.
