Leader of the Revolution Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi called on Yemenis to hold mass rallies across Sana’a and other provinces on Friday to defend their Islamic identity and reaffirm their commitment to what he described as their just cause.
“The Yemeni people will stage massive rallies tomorrow, Friday, to reaffirm their position against the great falsehood spread by the Saudi enemy and those who repeated its claims,” Sayyed Abdul-Malik said.
He described the allegations as “a great falsehood and unjust aggression,” saying the rallies would also demonstrate Yemenis’ resolve to confront what he called aggression and an unjust blockade.
Al-Houthi said the rallies would reaffirm Yemen’s commitment to the causes of the Muslim world, particularly the defense of Islamic holy sites, including Mecca, Medina and Al-Aqsa Mosque, against what he described as threats from Israel and other enemies of Islam and Muslims, as well as offenses by the Saudi regime against the holy sites.
“Shame and disgrace upon the liars and fabricators who repeat such falsehoods,” he said.
Addressing residents of the southern and eastern provinces, Al-Houthi said, “We are not targeting them,” stressing that Yemen’s target was the military forces brought in by Saudi Arabia to attack and kill Yemenis.
He said those forces included extremist groups that he accused of shedding the blood of Yemenis and violating their honor while serving Saudi Arabia in return for financial benefits and under sectarian pretexts.
Al-Houthi also accused the Saudi-backed extremist groups of serving the interests of the United States, Israel and Zionism, saying they sought to divert the Muslim world’s attention from its enemies and plunge it into internal conflicts and disputes.
