Iran: Five Arms and Ammunition Smuggling Networks Dismantled in Tehran

Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) intelligence service in Tehran province announced on Tuesday the dismantling of five networks aimed at destabilizing security. The networks comprised 20 individuals linked to terrorist groups and arms smugglers, and 50 firearms of various types were seized from them.

The IRGC intelligence service in Tehran stated, “Following precise intelligence operations, operational measures, and monitoring of the routes and movements of unauthorized arms and ammunition shipments, five networks comprising 20 organized smuggling elements affiliated with terrorist groups and arms and ammunition smugglers were identified and dismantled,” according to the Iranian news agency Mehr.
