Syria: Israeli forces patrol intrude into Quneitra Countryside & raid houses

An Israeli military patrol reportedly advanced today, Friday, into the town of Kodna in the southern countryside of Quneitra, southern Syria, where it carried out raids and searches of several houses in the area.

The operation was accompanied by drone overflights and heightened alert in the region, with no confirmed reports of arrests or clashes.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights stated on its website that the incursion sparked tension and concern among residents, amid repeated Israeli military movements in areas adjacent to the southern Syrian border strip in recent months.

The observatory added that this latest incursion comes as part of ongoing Israeli military activity in the Quneitra countryside, which includes repeated ground incursions, surveillance operations, and continuous movements near the disengagement line, raising fears of further escalation in the region.
