Yemeni forces beat back Saudi-led mercenaries’ attack near Hodeidah

The Yemeni army, backed by the Popular Committees, have on Friday managed to foil an infiltration attempt carried out by Saudi-led  aggression’s mercenaries towards Yemeni positions in Hodeidah province, western Yemen, a military official said.

According to the official, the mercenaries tried to advance towards several areas in the southwest parts of Hays district, but were foiled by the army forces.

The attack lasted for several hours and left dozens of mercenaries killed and wounded, the official explained.

On Thursday, the aggression forces committed 143 violations of the Stockholm Agreement in the province, the operations room to monitor the violations reported.

Among the violations were 13 flights of the coalition warplanes over al-Faza, al-Jabaliya, Hays, al-Jah, and al-Tuhita areas, and 56 flights of spy planes in the airspace of Hodeidah city, Hays, al-Jabaliya, al-Jah, and al-Tuhita areas, according to the operations room.

The violations also included 24 violations with artillery shelling and 37 violations with various kinds of gunshots.
