Ministry of Oil and Minerals revealed that the value of Yemeni oil looted during four and a half years amounted to nine billion and 500 million dollars, while the Minister of Oil promised to take the appropriate and necessary measures to preserve the rights of the Yemeni people.

The ministry indicated in a statement that the looted crude oil during the period from 2018 to July 2022 is estimated at 130 million barrels.

The ministry indicated that the total value of looted oil revenues from 2018 until this July amounted to nine billion and 500 million dollars.

It pointed out that the production of crude oil during 2018 amounted to 18 million barrels, with an estimated of one billion and 300 million dollars. During 2019, more than 29 million and 600 barrels of crude oil were produced, with about two billion and 300 million dollars.

The Ministry of Oil explained that SAFER produces 83 domestic gas trailers per day, with a total of 2490 per month. The value of gas in the 2490 monthly locomotives is 5 million and 400 thousand cylinders, and its revenues are 12 billion and 700 million riyals per month.

The ministry indicated that in February 2022, Safer Company raised the price of gas cylinders to 3567 per cylinder, bringing its revenues to 19 billion and 100 million riyals per month.

Sana’a Will Not Allow LNG Project to Be Restarted by Saudi-led Aggression Unless Return in Interest of All Yemenis:

“We were recently informed of efforts by the US-Saudi aggression to restart the liquefied gas project with the approach of winter,” the Minister of Oil and Minerals, Ahmed Daris, said.

He stressed that we will not allow the liquefied gas project to be restarted unless the return is in the interest of all the Yemeni people.

Daris explained that if the looted oil and gas revenues were provided to Yemeni banks, it would have been possible to disburse the salaries of employees in all of Yemen.

The Minister of Oil indicated that the produced crude oil is smuggled and exported through many ports, calling for handing over the management of the oil, gas and mineral sectors to the ministry.

He pointed out that the Saudi-backed party has reduced the allocations of the areas liberated from gas, calling for the neutralization of these sectors in favor of the salaries of employees.

“We warn all oil companies operating in Yemen and call on them to abide by production-sharing agreements,” he said.
